Janusz Palikot połączył wszystko to co lubią inwestorzy. Znane nazwisko, a nawet wiele znanych nazwisk, bardzo ambitne projekty, obietnicę wielkich zysków i uwielbianą przez inwestorów branżę alkoholową. Któż by nie chciał zostać współwłaścicielem browaru czy destylarni whisky? – tłumaczy w podkaście „Wittenberg rozmawia o technologiach” Marcin Starszak, analityk i autor bloga Crowdnews.pl.
Do budowy swojego imperium Palikot wykorzystał tak zwany crowdfunding. To taki rodzaj finansowania przedsięwzięć, który polega na zbieraniu dobrowolnych wpłat od osób, które są zainteresowane udzieleniem wsparcia. – Prawo, które wtedy obowiązywało, pozwalało spółce pozyskać w ciągu roku do miliona euro. Janusz Palikot zakładał więc coraz to nowe spółki, które emitowały akcje. Po roku tłumaczył się, dlaczego nie udało im się dowieźć prognozy i emitował kolejne akcje. A w międzyczasie zakładał następne spółki – wyjaśnia gość Anny Wittenberg.
Cały biznes zaczął przypominać piramidę finansową. Rozmawiałem z jednym z pracowników firmy Palikota, który powiedział, że zaległe pensje otrzymał dopiero po tym, jak inna spółka wyemitowała akcje – mówi Starszak.
Jak przyznaje analityk, początkowo sam pozytywnie oceniał pomysły Palikota. – Przy pierwszych emisjach spółek Palikota nikt nie patrzył na wyniki finansowe bo ich nie było. Palikot sprzedawał akcje firm, które powstały miesiąc wcześniej – przypomniał. Czar prysł kiedy jednak pojawiły się pierwsze wyniki finansowe. Wtedy jako jedna z pierwszych osób w Polsce, Starszak oceniał, że biznes jest zagrożeniem.
„Wittenberg rozmawia o technologiach” to nowy projekt „Dziennika Gazety Prawnej”. To format dla tych, którzy nie siedzą na co dzień w branży nowych technologii, a chcieliby wiedzieć, jak na ich życie mogą wpływać projekty inżynierów IT. Nowe odcinki będą dostępne co piątek w serwisach Gazetaprawna.pl, Forsal.pl oraz na YouTube.
